Through the support of the U.S. Department of Education, Wayne State University (WSU) has a great opportunity for Fall 2021 grads, recent grads, and mid-career professionals in the STEM and Computer Science fields, the Metro Detroit Teaching Residency for Urban Excellence (TRUE) Project.

Metro Detroit TRUE Project is an innovative multi-sector partnership that aims to positively impact student learning in science and math, address the critical shortage of STEM teachers in secondary education, and support the region’s workforce development.

WSU’s partners include:

  • Detroit Public Schools Community District
  • Dearborn Public Schools District
  • Engineering Society of Detroit
  • Michigan Department of Education
  • Wayne Regional STEM Network (MiSTEM) at Wayne RESA
