Wayne State University Sesquicentennial Wikipedia Edit-a-Thon
March 22nd from 2pm - 7pm at the Adamany Undergraduate Library

Join us as we edit the Wayne State Wikipedia page to remove promotional materials and fill in University history and facts.

Appearing in the top 10 most used websites consistently for the past decade, Wikipedia is a universal tool for disseminating information and is used by librarians around the globe. Learn how to edit, use, and teach Wikipedia essentials while gaining invaluable experience. We will be creating new Wiki pages for Wayne State University departments and schools, editing existing pages, and citing new sources. Collaborate with students and faculty from across campus in a fun environment.

Register your Wikipedia account before the event to better participate during the event! Check out the event libguide for more information on registering and editing. Have Wikipedia editing experience and want to help with the event? Email gc3846@wayne.edu to volunteer!

All students and faculty are welcome to attend either virtually or in person, and are encouraged to participate as time allows; drop in anytime during the event to participate!
